The voting process is administered by Telescope Digital Inc.

HOW TO VOTEThere are two (2) potential ways for you to cast votes for the Awards –  “Billboard Website Voting” and “Instagram Comment Voting,” both of which are described below:

  • Billboard Website Voting:  During the Voting Period, you may use your computer, tablet, or mobile device, open your preferred internet browsing application, and go to billboard.com/amasvote (“Billboard Voting Page”) to submit your votes (“Billboard Website Voting”).
  • When you arrive at the Billboard Voting Page, the first Award will be expanded for you to vote in. You can view the nominees for any of the Awards by expanding and collapsing the navigation bar with the Award name.
  • On each Award section of the Billboard Voting Page, you will see the name, description (if applicable), and photograph for each nominee for that Award. Clicking on a nominee image will expand the nominee card. You can vote for a nominee by clicking the + or – buttons to allocate the number of votes you wish to submit and clicking “Vote.”  You will be notified of the number of votes remaining (within the nominee and/or across awards).
  • To vote via Billboard Website Voting, you must have a valid Facebook or Google account. If you are not already signed into your Facebook or Google account, when you click on the “Vote” button, you will be directed to register using your valid Facebook or Google account. You will need to enter your e-mail address and password to log in to either Facebook or Google, as you may select, and accept the Voting Rules and Terms of Use. Votes on the Billboard Voting Page must be initialized by the authorized Facebook or Google account holder.
  • If you do not currently have a Facebook account or a Google account, you will not be able to vote via Billboard Website Voting unless you register for a Facebook account (go to Facebook.com or download the Facebook application to register) or a Google account (go to Google.com or download the Google application to register).Registration on Facebook and Google is free.
  • You will be prompted to accept either the Facebook or Google access authorization application (“Access Authorization”) the first time you vote, depending on whether you registered with your Facebook or your Google account. You must accept the applicable Access Authorization in order to vote at the Billboard Voting Page.
  • After submitting all available votes for an Award, the next Award will automatically expand to display the nominees for that Award and the previous Award will be collapsed. After you have submitted all available votes for all Awards, you will see a “Thank You” modal that offers you the opportunity to share your vote to your Facebook profile or X (formerly Twitter) timeline, or return to the Billboard Voting Page. Sharing your vote to your Facebook profile or X timeline will NOT count as an additional vote.
  • Instagram Comment Voting:  During the Voting Period, you may also vote on Instagram by mentioning specific hashtags (as described below) in a comment posted on the call-to-action “Official Voting Post” from the American Music Awards Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/amas/) (“Instagram Comment Voting”).
  • To vote via Instagram Comment Voting, you must have a valid Instagram account and be logged into Instagram, and your Instagram account must be set to public to vote. Instagram comments from private Instagram accounts will not be recognized or counted as votes. Instagram votes must be initialized by the authorized Instagram account holder.
  • If you do not currently have an Instagram account, you will not be able to vote via Instagram Comment Voting unless you register for an Instagram account (go to Instagram.com or download the Instagram application on your mobile device to register). Registration on Instagram is free.
  • You may vote via Instagram Comment Voting by posting a comment on the Official Voting Post during the Voting Period. Your comment on the Official Voting Post must contain the specific hashtag announced for the Award and nominee you wish to vote for (each, a “Promoted Hashtag”):
  • The Promoted Hashtag includes the applicable nominee(s) and specific Award for which you are voting. This single hashtag includes the Award name or abbreviation and the name of an artist, the name of a song, or the name of an album.
  • The list of Promoted Hashtags in the format specified above is linked here.

Examples of a valid vote via Instagram Comment Voting would be:

I’m voting for #AOTYArianaGrande

Or

I’m voting for #PopAlbumShortnSweet

  • Instagram Comment Voting that complies with the foregoing instructions will be counted as valid votes. Only votes posted on the Official Voting Post will be counted. If more than one (1) designated nominee hashtag or Award hashtag is contained in a comment, the comment will be considered invalid and none of the votes in that comment will count. Instagram Comment Voting must comply with all other Instagram requirements and may not include any derogatory, defamatory, or obscene language or images. By utilizing Instagram to participate, you agree to comply with Instagram’s Terms of Use (https://help.instagram.com/581066165581870/).
